I was so drawn to the pretty colors at the Farmer's Market that I snagged this lovely bunch of radishes. It wasn't until I got home that I realized...I don't know what to do with radishes except slice them into a salad! Any suggestions?
I adore french breakfast radishes. I used to grow them in my backyard and loved them fresh-picked from the garden. I've always found slicing them and putting them on bread and butter to be a bit of a pain, but scrubbing up a few and nibbling on them (whole) beside a nice slice or two of bread with butter...now that works very well. Enjoy!
Just discovered your blog.........In Hungary I once had a radish salad made by grating radishes and cutting green pepper into almost grated thinness, and salting them and then pouring a little sour cream thinned with milk over it. It's very delicious and cooling.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds quite tasty - I think that will be my snack tonight when I get peckish. Thanks!!
